I visited Manek chock today (December 25, 2025) around 1:40 AM. We ordered 1 Bhakhri pizza, 1 Manek chock special sandwich and 1 Oreo milk shake and Free fries. Sandwich 6/10 Bhakhri pizza 5/10 Oreo milk shake 0.5/10 Fries -5/10 (negative 5) And as I was told to review to get free "peri peri" fries for reviewing 5 Star. Otherwise wanted to give literally 1 Star. Main thing, we supposed to get peri peri fries and unfortunately we just got regular "over cooked" literally with brown color fries and informed that they're out of stock for that. And lastly we really waited almost 35 minutes to just get fries. I don't have more words to take out my frustrations here. Anyway thanks for FREE fries. I know it's not good to rate 1/10 being an Indian to Indian restaurant. But this is what it is. ~ Msn N
Please be assured my review is based on my experience as being a chef for more that 10 years savouring cuisines in India and around the world Been here at least 4 times, coming here especially for the dahi puri but today I decided to try the samosa chat. Honestly it exceeded my expectations. Have never tasted samosa chat like this(the Chole curry in it is exceptionally delicious) comparing to other restaurants in Toronto. So much so that we ordered another plate as takeout. Another good menu item is the chikoo milkshake which tastes just like the chikoo milkshake we used to make at home in mumbai Good Indian lofi music in the background Must try unlimited pain puri Even the dahi puri is excellent ~ Aaron P

The atmosphere is lively and energetic, capturing the true essence of Ahmedabad's street food culture. Though it can get crowded during peak hours, the service is generally quick and efficient, ensuring that you don't have to wait too long for your meal. The prices are affordable, making it a great spot for a casual outing with friends or family. Manek Chowk in Scarborough is a true gem for street food lovers! Their menu boasts an authentic array of Indian flavors that will transport you straight to the bustling streets of India. The star of the show is undoubtedly their pao bhaji. It's a flavor explosion in every bite. The papdi chat is another must-try, offering a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spicy. And let's not forget the crispy, addictive peri peri fries - a unique twist on a classic. The paneer momos were fresh and flavorful, a delightful option for those craving something a bit lighter. And who can resist a cold coffee for just $1? It's a steal! While the service might be a tad slow, the incredible taste of the food makes it worth the wait. If you're looking for a satisfying and authentic Indian street food experience, Manek Chowk is the place to be! ~ Arpit S
Manek Chowk offers a delightful culinary journey through the flavors of India. From the tangy burst of Pani Puri to the fiery kick of Cheese Schezwan Vadapav, every bite is a taste sensation. The Cheese Dabeli is a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, while the Manek Chowk Special Sandwich is a treat for the senses. Cold Coco and Mango Lassi provide refreshing accompaniments to the spicy street fare. Pav Bhaji is rich and flavorful, while the Gotala Dosa is a unique twist on a South Indian classic. The ambiance is bustling, adding to the charm of the experience. However, be prepared for long queues, as the popularity of Manek Chowk is undeniable. Overall, it's a must-visit for food enthusiasts and vibrant street food scene. ~ sarthak T
Manek Chowk Review If you ever visit Ahmedabad, Manek Chowk is a place you simply cannot miss. This iconic spot transforms throughout the day — a jewelry market in the morning, a bustling marketplace in the afternoon, and a vibrant street food paradise at night. The real magic begins after sunset. The entire area turns into a food lover’s heaven filled with sizzling sounds, bright lights, and irresistible aromas. From buttery pav bhaji and loaded cheese sandwiches to chocolate sandwiches and traditional Gujarati snacks, every stall offers something unique and delicious. The food is affordable, freshly made, and full of authentic flavors. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, making it perfect for late-night outings with friends and family. It does get crowded, but that’s part of its charm — the buzz makes the experience even more exciting. ~ Daksh B
Absolutely loved the food. We ordered their Cheese Schezwan Vada Pav and Cheese Dabeli for dine-in and followed it up with a session at the Live Pani Puri counter. The Vada Pav was incredible - spicy and cheesy! The dabeli was delicious as well - not too sweet which was great. The bun for the dabeli could have been toasted better for a crispy touch. Although the food preparation took slightly longer than usual, the wait was worth it. The staff was polite and service was friendly. We also got their Biscuit Bhakri for takeout along with jamun shots (which we're yet to try). The restaurant on its own was clean and well maintained, boasting cute interiors. ~ Hileri B
I recently visited Manek Chowk , and I must say I was blown away by the delicious flavors and authentic taste of the food! As someone who loves Indian cuisine, I was excited to try out this place and I was not disappointed. The menu has a great variety of street foods, from samosas to chaat to vada pav and more. I particularly enjoyed the pav bhaji, which was bursting with flavor and had just the right amount of spice. The chole bhature was also fantastic, with soft and fluffy bhature and a tangy chole masala. The service was excellent - the staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The shop was also very clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus. Overall, I would highly recommend Manek Chowk to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Indian street food. I will definitely be coming back to try more dishes! ~ Kinjal T
Nostalgic for home, I got the dahi puri and samosa chaat. A delicious explosion of flavors and textures, with a perfect balance of sweet, sour, spicy, and savory, both the dishes were visually appealing with the swirl of the chutneys vibrant on the yoghurt. Combined with a side of chorafali immediately reminded me of celebrating special occasions at home - after all, for Gujaratis, spicy chorafali are a staple for every celebration! Followed by the Manek Chowk special sandwich, which was a delicious combination of various vegetables topped with shredded cheese - truly the best way to eat bread! Washed down with a heavenly butterscotch milkshake and a sweet and sour jamun shot, this was truly a perfect meal that made me miss home a little less! Warmly recommended! We were interested in trying some Indian street food so dropped by this restaurant to try the vada pav and pav bhaji. The vada pav was a fried potato patty stuffed between a soft bun with spices. The pav bhaji were 2 soft buns with a side of chunky sauce/dip. Both dishes were extremely flavorful and vegetarian. They were both full of spice, but not overly spicy. There was enough sauce/dip in the pav bhaji for another meal or two in my opinion since it is very concentrated in flavor. Paying in cash gets a 5% discount and there seems to be daily specials. I'll be back to try some of their other sandwiches. ~ M L
This place is very close to my office and an Indian street food which has a very good taste plus their staff is very friendly they always welcome you with smile. So I have tried a lot of this from them. Like pani puris they have different flavours of pani plus and a lot of varieties of chai flavour like Karak chai , Masala chai, Cardamom chai and Coffee which taste exactly like the chai and coffee which we used to get back in India. they have a separate stall for the pani puries We get have the same feeling which we used to get back at our country. I also tried dabeli and their special sandwich they were very yummy. Highly recommended. ~ Siddharth S

The Muthiya was the real highlight for me perfectly cooked, full of authentic Gujarati taste, and easily my favorite dish of the visit. The sandwich was indulgent and satisfying, and the uthapam was soft with great toppings. If you’re craving authentic Indian street food, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’d 100% recommend and will surely be coming back again! ~ Bhavi B

Manek Chowk in Markham is hands down one of the best places for Indian street food here. The taste is just like Ahmedabad — proper authentic flavor, spices on point, and that real street-food style you don’t usually find in Canada. Everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. The food really gives that “back home” feeling. Service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Visited Manek Chowk in Canada and was genuinely impressed! The India-style vada and samosa pao instantly transported me back home — absolutely delicious. The Surti cocoa was just amazing, truly as good as the one in Surat! The pav bhaji was probably the closest I’ve tasted to authentic Indian street flavours here. The bhakri pizza was crispy, flaky, and packed with mouthwatering flavours. And the paneer sandwich had that perfect, authentic taste that made the whole experience complete. A must-visit spot for anyone ~ stutI S

Manek Chowk is the perfect place to enjoy authentic Indian street food in Canada. Their Pav Bhaji, Masala Dosa, and Dabeli taste exactly like back home. The Live Pani Puri is a highlight – fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. I also loved their special sandwiches and Chorafali with chutney, which are unique and delicious. For drinks, the Mango Lassi and Oreo Shake are refreshing and pair perfectly with the spicy food. Great portions, fair prices, and quick service make this restaurant a must-visit! ~ Dhara P
Absolutely loved this place! If you're a fan of bold flavors and authentic Indian street food, this spot is a must-visit. Everything from the pani puri to the pav bhaji was bursting with flavor. The staff was friendly, service was quick, and the atmosphere had that fun, casual street-side feel. It reminded me of eating at a roadside stall in Mumbai—but super clean and comfortable! Amazing Experience at Manek Chowk We arrived at 2:15 AM, just 45 minutes before closing, after a 30-minute ride with a group of 7 people, and were delighted by the exceptional service. The staff warmly welcomed us and ensured we were served promptly, even so close to closing time. They were polite, efficient, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a late-night outing. It was absolutely worth the trip, and we’ll definitely be coming back! ~ Renish H
Those who have been to Manek Chowk knows that the taste is full of fusion dishes. This place lives up to the expectation that one may have from Manek Chowk. We ordered Papdi Chat and Vada Pav and I can assure that I have had similar taste in Delhi. Yes, the taste is so good that it breaches the boundaries of states in India. The service was fast, just like Manek Chowk, and the staff is very co-operative. After having my meal, I thanked all of them personally for making my day with such a delicious meal. ~ Chirag J
